Bonjour vous les gens épiques

It's a new week with a whole new set of probabilities & awesome paths your life can take.
Let's kickit off with #MondayMotivation

The #AntiBullying campaigns are under way & body image is ranked up high on the bullying list, especially from personal experience. In search, a model's inspiring profile caught my eye. He seemed perfect for an Inspire Tag feature & I really enjoyed his answers today.

Michael's posts are both motivational & wise, shedding adequate light on important matters while providing a great lifestyle bonus of nutritional value.

1. What is the best advice you were ever given?
  • My grandmother used to say nasty people are jealous people, growing up I didn’t quite believe her but now I’m not so sure.
2. Who inspires you and why?
  •  It has to be my mother. She’s gone through a lot and despite all this she’s managed to survive, raise two children, get a 2.1 in a long distance course in psychology whilst working a demanding full time job and now is in the process of writing a novel. She inspires me.
3. Everyone has bad days, how do you deal with a bad day?
  • Take a shower, go for a walk, find good things to focus on. I think on bad days it’s good to go back to the basics.
4. Where do you go/what do you do when you need motivation?
  •  I live close to a protected park with a huge forest so I usually take a walk around there. Or I make of huge teapot of herbal tea.

Hibiscus
5. Failure is a big part of life, what has been your biggest failure to date?
  •  I don’t like that word failure. I haven’t failed at anything because I’ve learnt from any potential failings.
6. What is your biggest achievement?

Hmmmm I have a few that I’m proud of.
  • I have a 2.1 in Law – it was really difficult and my first year was especially tough.
  • I decided to quit my job and my life really to move to London to become a model.

In my first year of modelling I’ve managed to secure a campaign for an eyewear company called Cutler and Gross and book 8 runway shows.

7. Have you conquered any fears?
  •  Yes I think so, I struggle with rejection and every casting in modelling you face a high probability of rejection.
8. Music helps lift our mood, What is your go-to song when you need a pick me up?
  • Another love Tom Odell

9. Complete the sentence, Happiness is…
  • The most sought after thing but the most unappreciated.

 ******

10. What do you do to clear your mind?
  •  I write, if something is particular bad or is bothering me I burn it afterwards.
11. Life can be stressful, what are your top 3 things to unwind?
  • I cook at lot and I absolutely love it.
  • I read books about all sorts and I have quite a few on the go at the minute– I’m reading Homo Deus, a book about crystals, one on transhumanism, one about shamanism and another about Celtic mythology.
  • I read articles on health – I’m a huge health freak,

12. Have you watched any inspiring movies? Do you have any favorites?
  •  Inspiring – no. But my favourite is Apocalypto.
13. What is your favorite inspirational quote?

  • If you always do what you've always done, you will always get what you've always got.

or
  • Every No takes me closer to a YES – this is particularly relevant to me given my career choice!

14. Do you listen to motivational speakers?
  •  Hmmmm not really but I do listen to a lot of Ted Talks and I find some of the people on there inspirational.
15. How do you cope with unpleasant people?
  •  Kill them with kindness.
16. What is your best piece of advice?
  •  Don’t live your life trying to make other people proud of you or living to others expectations. Find what makes you happy and pursue that, try to recognize when things aren’t working and alter it. Be kind to yourself, look after yourself and treat yourself with respect. I guess I have a few pieces.
17. Complete the sentence “When life gives you lemons…”
  •  Make champagne – I don’t like lemonade.
18. What is the most inspiring book you have ever read?
  •  Hmmmm difficult question, I’m not too sure – perhaps I’m difficult to inspire.
19. Do you have a place to pray or meditate?
  •  I don’t actually, I usually do it my bedroom.
20. What is your motto in life?
  •  Who cares what they say?

Tips & Tricks:

1. Do you have any great Model resources/ Sites that you can share with us?

2. What would you say to other aspiring Models out there?

  • Persistence is key, look after yourself (physically, emotionally and mentally) and take it seriously. There is nothing worse than seeing models do it just to say they are a model to impress other people.

3. If there was just one nugget of wisdom you could share, what would that be?

  • Try not to compare yourself with others and their careers – everyone is different, there are no set rules in modelling. This sounds really basic but it’s easily forgotten.

See the reason that I do these Tags especially the Inspire Tag, is to show you that "Anything is possible if you've got enough Nerve." JK Rowling. Ms. Rowling, Steve Jobs, Ricard Branson, Oprah, Ellen Degeneres, Nelson Mandela, Gandhi, Steven Spielberg, Trevor Noah and the list goes on and on. What do they all have in common?

They are YOU!

Yes, they started out just like you, regular, human, with regular families, regular friends, regular skills. But they Dreamed, oh boy did they ever Dream. More importantly, they put in the hard work, the maximum effort & that is truly how they ended up where they are today. You don't need 7 secrets, 20 techniques or an all weekend program to be successful. You need only realize that EVERYONE who ever accomplished anything started exactly where you will start. Once you do, all that anxiety & doubt will disappear, in its place, a beautiful and powerful Magic will start to grow.

The Magic of YOU!

So I beseech you, start to Dream again, start to Believe in You because I already do. I have faith that all of you can & will accomplish incredible and insurmountable feats. Your dream is still there, I promise you it's still there. Reach out and Soar with it.

  22. Modeling would be super hard on anyone who already has a rejection complex! I so agree that some people are just flat out jealous, and they can be the worst to deal with.

  23. I love the saying your Grandmother told you! It is so true! I am going to share that with my daughter who is just starting into her teen years and having to deal with bullying occasionally.

  25. Great interview!!! My hubby has bully tendencies in him forwards his besties at times and it's alway when he's having a rough time at work and I have to point it out so he stops. It's definitely true that mean people are only mean because something is off in life.

  34. There are a lot of life lessons to learn from him. Not just in modeling, but in any field, we shouldn't compare ourselves to others. The moment we do this, that's the time that we feel bad and it's not right.

He seems to be a very passionate and driven person. I'm sure he will make it big in the nearer future.

  35. I must agree with your grandma.
And I am learning to be kind to me. It's not easy-normal. But only to a balance or I'll lose the meaning.

And that last paragraph - Thanks. I have been feeling lately my dreams and want I yearn to do slipping away....

  36. best keto snacks Staying hydrated can help spur fat loss. It will also keep you from consuming empty calories from beverages like sports activities and sodas drinks. If you want caffeine, drink black coffee or tea.
Drink two glasses of water with every meal - one before you eat and one with the meal. The first glass shall help fill your stomach and keep you from overeating. If the urge can be got by you to snack, drink one glass of water and wait ten minutes. Urges to snack are often actually signs of dehydration. Avoid fruit juice aswell. This “healthy” option frequently gets the same amount of sugars as soda.
